Using a series of low repetition, low impact stretching and conditioning exercises, Pilates will improve your posture and build your core strength (back, abdominal and pelvic muscles).

WHAT IS PILATES?

Pilates is great for anybody who is looking to sleep better and learn to relax and beat stress. Also suitable if you are looking to improve balance, co-ordination and strength (without adding bulk!). Starting with a gentle stretching warm up, you will move on to mat exercises. These may look difficult but each move is precision based, concentrating on controlled breathing and movement flow.

WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS?

Over a period of time, Pilates will help improve your posture which will in tern also aid relief of back pain. You should also experience greater flexibility and co-ordination and strength.

WHAT DO I NEED TO BRING?

As with most classes, you will need suitable clothing and good trainers as well as a small towel and water bottle.
