The Pentecostal City Mission Church in Scrubs Lane launched its new dementia café. In response to requests by its congregation to support members living with dementia and their carers the Church has created a café which is open to anyone in the community. Supported by Ashford Place and CAD-Brent and Willesden Sports Centre (1Life) this is one of the first Brent faith and community responses to the needs of people living with dementia. The café include physical exercise session delivered by Willesden Sports Centres Health & Sports Development Manager Jo de Souza. It also offers lunch & information about dementia and other services as well as song and dance.

Friday Night Sports Project
Willesden Sports Centre and local partners have launched Friday Night Sports Project which is aimed at young men (14+ yrs.).
Participants will be mentored and trained by professional basketball player, Commonwealth Bronze Medal Winner Mike Martin.
