YOGA – Focuses on strength, flexibility and breathing to boost physical and mental wellbeing by concentrating on postures and breathing.

Originating from India, Yoga combines spiritual, mental, and physical activity in a range of stretches and different positions.

WHAT ARE THE DIFFERENT TYPES OF YOGA?

HATHA
– Generally slower paced and uses basic positions

IYENGAR
– Emphasizes holding poses for longer periods of time

ASHTANGA
– Faster paced and physically demanding, very similar to Power Yoga.

WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS OF YOGA?

Yoga is a safe holistic experience that increases physical activity, especially strength, flexibility and balance. Our programmes are designed to improve posture and enhance your breathing technique. Regular yoga can be beneficial for people with high blood pressure, heart disease, aches and pains, depression and stress and can also help to increase attention and concentration.

WHAT DO I NEED TO BRING?

We recommend that you bring clothing that you feel very comfortable in. As there is a lot of stretching involved, your clothing should also be flexible. As with all exercise, we also suggest that you bring a water bottle to keep yourself hydrated.
